Buffalo Thorn Safari Lodge offers a self catering bush lodge experience in a private game reserve near Tomburke in the Koedoesrand district in Limpopo's Waterberg region. Buffalo Thorn Safari Lodge is situated on the Farm Engelsea only 20km from the Martinsdrift/Groblersbrug border post and is the ideal stop over on route to Botswana or Zimbabwe or Maphungubwe. This 4 star luxury lodge is part of a private game reserve and is designed to accommodate over-nighters or an exclusive self catering group of up to 20 people but fully catered stays can be arranged. Our new colonial styled accommodation embraces nature at every turn and offers all the privacy and superior comfort you would need for uninterrupted relaxation. Every luxury lodge chalet has an en-suite bathroom, outside rock shower, fridge, kitchenette or coffee bar, air conditioner and deck. The overnight chalets has well equipped kitchens, patio with dining set and built in braai overlooking the water hole as well as en suite bathrooms with double vanities, baths and showers. The two main buildings feature each a fireplace, satellite TV lounge and dinning room that leads on to the big hearty stoep, overlooking the waterhole and makes for great entertainment. The stoep from the main lodge also leads to the swimming pool and the boma, forming the perfect place to bring family and friends together around a crackling fire. Game drives and guided bushwalks are some of the activities you can enjoy during your stay. Our tracker and ranger is a real delight with an unparalleled knowledge of animal behavior and a passion for sharing that with people.
