Glen Beach - Camps Bay, Cape Town
{{ imageDescription }}
Glen Beach, nestled between Camps Bay Beach and Maiden's Cove along Cape Town's Atlantic Seaboard, is a secluded haven favoured by locals and surfers seeking a tranquil alternative to the bustling neighboring shores. This intimate cove is characterised by its soft white sands and is framed by large granite boulders, which not only enhance its picturesque appeal but also provide natural windbreaks against the region's prevalent southeasterly winds.
Access to Glen Beach is somewhat discreet, with limited signage and parking primarily available at the intersection of Lower Kloof Road and Victoria Road. Visitors can also reach the beach by walking from Camps Bay Beach, crossing over the dunes and boulders that separate the two. While the beach offers a serene environment ideal for sunbathing and relaxation, swimmers should exercise caution due to strong waves and rip currents. The consistent surf conditions make it a hotspot for experienced surfers, though it's less suitable for beginners.
Minimal parking is available at the top of the footpath to the beach.
