Tanamera
Bed & Breakfast in Hazyview
SUMMARY:
Nestled on the slopes of the Sabie River Valley, deep in the Lowveld forest, Tanamera offers luxurious accommodation and breath-taking scenery. Sleeping a maximum of 14 guests, your comfort and privacy are assured, at a rate that will pleasantly surprise you. For those wanting to get closer to nature, you can enjoy a walk in the forest, looking for rarely seen bird species such as Narina Trogons, Knysna Louries, Gorgeous Bush shrike and Crowned Eagles. For the less active simply sit on your private deck and enjoy the magical wonder of the forest on a misty morning, or sun-washed afternoon.
Chalets
Tanamera offers five magnificent fully serviced, thatched chalets, each sleeping two adults. The chalets, surrounded by forest and indigenous bush, are en-suite with a conversation piece shower, stone bath & overlooking the Sabie Valley. Each chalet has a fireplace, king-size beds, mosquito nets and private deck with a plunge pool so that you could enjoy the breath-taking views of the cascading Sabie River below. We are happy to serve your morning & or evening meals on your deck if your preference is to dine privately.
Honeymoon Chalets
We have two honeymoon chalets both boasting king-size beds with mosquito nets, stone baths, waterfall showers and fireplaces. Their private decks have the same view as the other chalets and main lodge, with added extras such as private plunge pool and outdoor shower on the deck, a perfect setting to enjoy a romantic sundowner and private dinner as the sun sets behind the breathtaking view.
Walks
Due to the richness and diversity of the riverine and forest habitat, walks are a favourite with our guests.
Main Centre
Tanamera has a central main building with a dining room for chalet guests, a cosy country pub, fireplace, lounge area and deck where you can relax around the rimflow pool and take in the spectacular views.
Drives
With the Kruger National Park only 30 minutes away, you can search for the Big 5 in an open vehicle accompanied by a FGASA/DEAT guide. Other available trips are Lowveld Panoramic Tours, and trips to interesting destinations, in air-conditioned microbuses. We will undertake transfers for your convenience. Rates not included in accommodation rates.
Other Activities
The Lowveld offers a host of activities, and we will gladly advise and arrange these for you. Whatever your fancy, from Elephant Interaction, Zip-lining, quad-biking, river-rafting, water tubing, game drives, walks and hot air ballooning, to quietly sipping a drink basking in the peace of the forest, we are there to indulge you. Activities not included in accommodation rates.

Tanamera is situated in the Sabie River Valley, 25km from Sabie on the R536 towards Hazyview (approx. 19kms away).
