Location
The villa is situated within the estate of Santorini in Ballito Bay on the North Coast. This region is called the Dolphin Coast due to the abundance of bottle-nosed dolphins that can often be seen frolicking in the warm Indian Ocean. Ballito is only 30 minutes from Durban with its International airport.
The Villa
This fully furnished villa is a garden unit with uninterrupted sea-views.
It consists of:
A well equipped, granite kitchen including fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. A combined lounge and dining area opening onto a large patio and private use garden overlooking the sea. Three bedrooms, comfortably sleeping 6. The master and 2nd bedrooms have sea views. Master bedroom with queen size bed and en-suite bathroom. 2nd Bedroom with 2 bunk beds. 3rd Bedroom with 2 single beds. 2nd Bathroom with shower. Satellite dish and receiver (bring your own smart card). Ceiling fans throughout, including lounge and dining area. Carport with additional guest parking. Serviced Mon, Wed and Fri (not on public holidays) Bed linen is included (please bring your own towels). Stainless steel braai (BBQ).
What To Do:
Beaches:
Thompson's Bay beach, with its tidal pool and lifeguards, and the semi-private Santorini beach, with its lovely rock pools and secluded sandy alcoves, are accessible from the complex, so no need to drive.
Culinary:
A host of restaurants within minutes of the Santorini estate cater for all tastes.
Shopping:
Three main shopping centres in Ballito cater for the shopper. The Gateway shopping and entertainment complex and the La Lucia mall are 20-minutes away.
Adventure:
Take a flight in a micro-lite over the sea, a challenging quad bike trail through the bush, or a thrilling surf launch on a semi-rigid super duck to view the dolphins, whales and other interesting animal and fish species.
Sport:
There is a tennis court on-site. The Prince's Grant golf courses are within a half hours drive. Squash, bowls and horse riding are also catered for.
Culture:
Visit "The Kingdom", an authentic Zulu village and get an insight into the fascinating history that shaped this beautiful country.
Wildlife:
The crocodile farm is up the road. The Hluhluwe-Umfolzi game reserve, sporting the big five, and the St Lucia wetlands are within two hours north on the N2 toll road.
