What we offer River Valley Resort is a hidden gem on the KZN South Coast. A family orientated resort offering self-catering chalets and camping sites. We have an electric fence & an automatic gate securing the resort. There is a swimming pool, a children's playground and a games room. The beach is approximately a ten minute walk from the park, however we recommend you rather drive to the skiboat club which is approximately 2 km's away, or go to other beaches close by.
More information on outside activities is available from reception. Please note our cancellation policy on our quotation. Visitors are to report to reception before commencing into the Resort. Day visitors are to do the same and pay R80.00 per person and R15.00 per car, exit by latest 20h00. "Should your visitor / visitors want to stay over night, the daily rate at the time applies"

CHALETS (We have 5 self catering four sleeper units to choose from)
The chalets are fully equipped, fully furnished and have open view TV, private patio and private braai area. Linen is provided, but NO bath towels, dish cloths nor washup sponges are included. A refundable key / remote / breakage deposit of R250.00 is required when booking. PETS (small dogs only) are allowed in the chalets, contact reception about the terms and conditions regarding pets and fees. Only 1 car per chalet is allowed unless previously arranged with management. Extra cars are chargeable at R15.00 per car per night. Daily house cleaning can be provided by request and is chargeable at R120.00 per day, personal laundry is not included. "Please contact reception for more information regarding this service" There is a laundrette down at the ablutions for personal laundry. Tokens are available at reception during office hours only.
KING FISHER This room accommodates a maximum of 2 people and does not have ablution facilities, residents must use the ablutions 50 meters away. The room has two beds, linen, fridge, oven, cutlery & crockery, a sink with running cold water and a colour T.V with openview. No bath towels nor dish cloths are included.
CARAVAN / CAMP SITES (20 sites all with electrical points and water points close by) Maximum of six (6) people are allowed per site. One caravan with its main tent, or two large tents allowed per site. Gazebo's are considered to be a tent. CAR & TRAILER ARE TO BE PARKED ON YOUR SITE. Any cars or trailers needed to be parked off the site will be charged at R15.00 per day per vehicle or trailer. ONLY OPEN WEAVE PROPERLY POROUS GROUND SHEETS ARE ALLOWED ON THE GRASS SECTION. DOGS ALLOWED (Small dogs only) are chargeable at R30.00 per dog per day. T's & C's apply

With year round sunshine, sardines, fishing, majestic bird life, beautiful surroundings and comfortable accommodation, River Valley Resort is definitely the resort for you and your family for that weekend getaway, or annual vacation.
Walk through a well-maintained pathway down to an excellent fishing beach, low tide rock pools and lagoon river mouth where glorious golden beach sand and sun awaits you. We have a swimming pool and games room located in the resort.
Very much a family orientated resort, there is always something for the kids to do so as to allow mom and dad ample time to either get away and do their own thing, or simply relax in your favourite recliner or camp deck chair, put your feet up with a glass of your preferred liquid refreshment, doze, read, bird watch, or simply take it easy and totally unwind.
The waters off our stretch of coast, sets the scene for an extraordinary annual event, the prodigious and exhilarating sardine run. Every year during June and July, millions of sardines make their way up the coast, making River Valley Resort the perfect base from which to pursue these little fish. Apart from the fun of catching these little fish, they are also prey to larger fish, and the run provides excellent game fishing in its wake!
The Resort is a bird watchers paradise, where the Spotted Eagle Owl, purple crested Lourie, Paradise Flycatcher, various Barbet's, Kingfishers, three species of wagtails (the cape wagtail, the pied wagtail as well as the long tailed wagtail) and a variety of sunbirds, can be found here.
Three Internationally acclaimed Golf Courses, inclusive of Selbourne and Umdoni Park are very close by, and Deep Sea fishing & diving can also be arranged.
