Pongola Country Lodge

The Pongola Country Lodge is situated on the main route (N2) between Swaziland, Mpumalanga and the tourist region of Northern KwaZulu-Natal.

Pongola is well positioned as the gateway to the Kingfisher Route with Game Reserves and Parks, Sodwana National Park as well as the lakes of St Lucia within 100kms drive.

Accommodation:
Accommodation comprises of 65 upmarket, spacious en-suite bedrooms all individually decorated in a stylish fashion of its own. All rooms are air-conditioned, equipped with a colour TV with DStv-selected channels and a modern telephone system.

Pongola Country Lodge provides substantially for business delegates with four of the finest conference venues. Combining serenity away from the rat race, with efficiency through standard conference equipment, the lodge provides an invigorating working environment.

The facility offers a choice of four conference rooms
Two centers accommodating between 30 and 100 delegates and two centers providing for up to 30 delegates. Company parties, product launches, wedding and engagement parties or other celebrations.

Ostrich Room: 30 delegates
Executive Boardroom: ±25 delegates

Restaurants
The two restaurants at Pongola Country Lodge offer guests a choice of dining venues. The Buffet Restaurant is open every third Sunday of a month when we hold a special pensioners lunch where all is welcome and pensioners enjoy a special price, while the J's Restaurant offers a splendid á la carte menu 7 days a week. The Lodge takes pride in its snug, stylish lounge and well frequented ladies' bar.

Breakaway Facilities
Pongola Country Lodge serves par excellence as a base from which to explore the natural abundance of the surrounding area. Subject to prior request, the staff will arrange extra curricula activities for guests.

Well attended nine-hole golf course. Traditional Zulu dancers entertain tour groups at the lodge. Game drives in the wild with a wide range of species and sporadic. Big five in the surrounding area viewing through bookings only. Groups not smaller than ten. Elephant tracking - booking essential. Fishing enthusiasts can hire boats for day trip fishing on the Jozini Dam. Sunset cruises on the Jozini Dam. Sipping sundowners on a top deck while gliding on the tranquil waters of that magnificent lake at the feet of the majestic Lebombo Mountains, is an experience not to be missed. Spend a night or two on the luxurious Shayamanzi house boat.
