Oppi Koppi Lodge
Ngokwakithi Game Reserve is situated on the eastern foothills of the Mcibo
Mountains overlooking the Pongola Valley. The ranch is about 700 hectares with a
big diversity of fauna and flora.
The ranch boasts some of the best bird watching in the region, including
Trogons, Pink-throated Twinspots, and Yellow-spotted Nicators.
There are magnificent and beautiful trees growing in the riverine section of the
ranch, with three bow hunting blinds at the water points. Hunting on the ranch
is only a pleasure with very good skinning facilities, lighting, washbay and
coldroom.
The farm has a number of dams, stocked with bass. Oppie Koppie is the name of
the lodge with fully serviced self-catering chalets. This luxury lodge boasts
five bedrooms, all ensuite with air-conditioning and excellent views from the
koppie upon which it is built.
There is a thatched lapa entertainment area upstairs with a bar (including
fridge), fireplace, and huge sleeper table. Downstairs there is a fully equipped
kitchen, and a lounge area with TV (DSTV/decoder, bring your own sim card) and a
Jacuzzi.
A maid who will wash up, clean and make the beds, and service the lodge is
always there.
