Mountain Splendour
Mountain Splendour is located in the spectacular central Drakensberg, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Mountain Splendour is a family-owned and operated resort situated on a tranquil 80-hectare farm providing a safe, relaxing and healthy environment to enjoy your holiday. Spotless communal and private ablutions with excellent hot water are available to accommodate the needs of each customer. Security lighting and a night security guard ensures your holiday is safe and trouble-free.
On-site facilities include a swimming pool, tennis courts, volleyball, large children's playground, animal farm, picnic spots, trails, darts and table tennis. All our sites are spacious, with gravel, level, well shaded and each has its own braai. We also offer laundry facilities, free freezer space, refilling of gas bottles, wood for sale and friendly assistance to erect tents.
The immediate area offers many adventurous outdoor activities such as mountain biking, white-water rafting, hiking, golf, horse riding and bowls. Other local amenities include an arts and crafts route, coffee shops, restaurants, supermarkets and the Drakensberg Boys Choir School where regular concerts and festivals are held. Within an hour's drive there are game reserves, battlefield sites and good fishing spots.
