A breakages/damages deposit of R1500 will be charged. This is will be refunded within 7 days if all in order. If guests leave excess dishes or a dirty braai, the fee charged to the owner will be deducted from the deposit. 7 days booking less 20%, does not apply over the April or December holidays. 30 day booking less 30%, does not apply over the April or December holidays. Will send guests a Pro-Forma Invoice, they have 48 hours to pay 50% deposit or full amount. Balance due 2 weeks before arrival. Once proof of payment received, will email guests to confirm the dates they have booked. Servicing – 3 hour service (must be pre-booked and prepaid) |

Mountain Tranquillity
Our home is located in a World Heritage Site, on Cathkin Estates, Champagne Valley, Central Drakensberg. The valley is also home to the world famous Drakensberg Boys Choir. Cathkin Estates is an Eco Estate and has wildlife that roam around freely, they have a list of rules Guests have to adhere which will be forwarded to guests once they have booked. No noisy parties or loud music are allowed on the Estate. Our home sleeps 6. Our home is also non- smoking. No pets are allowed on the Estate or in our home. Security is excellent on the Estate.
The house comprises two bedroom wings, in the main bedroom wing we have a king size bed, the room leads onto a deck and faces the mountains. This wing also had a study and a full bathroom i.e. bath and shower. The main bedroom is air conditioned and the study has a ceiling fan.
In the guest bedroom wing we have a main guest bedroom with a queen size bed, the room also leads out onto a deck and faces the mountains. There is a second guest bedroom with 2 single beds, a full bathroom as well as a separate guest toilet and wash basin. The main guest bedroom has an air conditioner, the second guest bedroom a ceiling fan.
The living area of the house has a gas fire place, a TV with full DSTV, and 2 ceiling fans. The lounge section has a comfortable lounge suite and the dining room dining room table seats eight . The living area opens up onto a veranda that has an outdoor dining table which seats eight, and easy veranda furniture, there is a pool which has a cover should guests want it fitted for their visit. There is a portable braai , guests would need to bring along their own charcoal.
We have Wifi.
The kitchen is well equipped with gas hob, a microwave, a dishwasher, a fridge /freezer.
Servicing is available but would be for guests account and would need to be pre booked , should guests book for a week we would pay for two 2 hour services during their stay.
There is so much to do in the Berg, Cedarwood Shopping centre which has a supermarket, a coffee shop, a chocolate shop, gift shops is about 5kms away. En route to, and in Champagne Valley you will find many interesting places to visit, restaurants, coffee shops, gift shops, craft shops. On the Estate are wonderful walks, guests could cycle, the roads are excellent.
Mountain Tranquillity is a place of peace and relaxation, you may choose to just sit on the veranda and watch the mountains many spectacular changes. Join us and make special memories.
