50% Single supplement will be applicable to persons not sharing a room.
Children younger than 12 years pay half the adult rate.

 

Rate includes 5 Star Accommodation, Three superb meals daily, High Tea, Game Drive Snacks & Beverages, Internet facilities, Morning and Evening Game Drives,
Fishing trips and Bush walk with your Ranger.

Rate excludes Telephone calls, faxes, Curio Shop purchases, Massages, Mini bar, Main bar drinks, Laundry Service, transport to and from the Lodge.

Lunch is served between 13h00 to 14h00 daily; High tea is served half an hourbefore the afternoon game drive. Dinner will be available when the afternoon
game drive returns. Guests are welcome to freshen up before joining for dinner. Breakfast is served after the morning game drive.

Main Gate Times: 06H00 - 18H00.

Children
  • Mkuze Falls do cater for all children off all ages.
  • Due to safety and health reasons, are children under the age of 6 years not permitted to go on game drives or bush walks.
  • All Children can share a room with their parents; we do put an extra bed in the room for them and do provide a camping cot if requested.
  • Babysitting facilities can be arranged and are done by our friendly Zulu ladies.
  • These services should be booked in advance at an additional cost of R70.00 per child per hour.
Reservation & Cancellation Policy
  • A non-refundable 20% deposit is required to confirm any reservation.
  • Full payment of the balance is due 30 days prior to guest’s arrival. Unless the booking is made within 30 days, in which case full payment will be required to confirm the reservation.
  • 0 to 14 Days prior to guest’s arrival 100% of the total accommodation value reserved.
  • 15 to 29 days prior to guest’s arrival 50% of the total accommodation reserved.
  • 30 to 45 days prior to guest’s arrival 30% of the total accommodation reserved
Please note: All new bookings shall attract a Conservation Levy of R150.00 per adult per stay and R75.00 per child per stay. This amount can be prepaid or added on the extras bill to be settled on departure.

Mkuze Falls Game Lodge

Game Reserve & Bush Lodge in Magudu
SUMMARY:

Mkuze Falls Game Lodge is beautifully located along the northern bank of the Mkuze River, in the heart of Zululand, overlooking the spectacular Mkuze waterfall and with views dominated by Shambe and Mahlangosi mountains. The lodge features nine luxuriously appointed thatched chalets, accommodating eighteen guests in utmost comfort and style.

Magnificent views from the private verandah of each chalet. Enjoy the atmosphere of one of the nicest areas in South Africa in ultimate privacy.

The central lodge complex includes a tastefully furnished lounge, bar and restaurant. Meals may be served at the lounge viewing deck, the indoor dining area, the traditional boma during Zulu dancing or on request at your room.

The secluded plunge-pool and outside shower for each chalet are completely private and shielded form the adjacent accommodation by thick indigenous vegetation.

Wild and Bird-Life of Mkuze Falls Game Reserve
The Mkuze Falls Game Reserve is host to an impressive variety of wildlife. Game drives in the Reserve conducted by experienced game rangers, which will provide sightings of the "Big 5", cheetah, hippo, reptiles and a vast number of plains game.

"Bush Rush-Hours" are unknown in the reserve. Both walking and open vehicle safaris are taken daily, providing you with in-depth understanding and knowledge of the flora anf fauna of the region.

Mkuze Falls form part of the greater AmaZulu Game Reserve with the present 8000 ha. of low- middle and highveld soon to be extended.

More specifically the reserve is home to Fish Eagle, Giant Kingfisher, Narina Trogon and Purple-Crested Lourie, to mention a few.

The Mkuze Falls Game Reserve Area provides a unique and authentic taste of the African bush. The reserve is host to a tremendous diversity of fauna, including: lion, elephant, rhinoceros, buffalo, leopard, cheetah, cerval, lynx, civet, genet, hippo, crocodile, spotted hyena, giraffe, blue wildebeest, zebra, kudu, nyala, waterbuck, impala, red duiker, grey duiker, common reedbuck, mountain reedbuck, blesbuck, red hartebeest, warthog and bushpig.
