Royal Jozini Big 6 reserve is a 15,000 hectare game reserve located in the
far South East corner of Swaziland straddling Jozini Dam .
Fed by the perennial Phongola river, Jozini Dam is the southernmost point in
Africa where the famed and elusive tiger fish naturally occur.
Recently upgraded and situated on the waterfront just North of the new Marina
area, Brown\'s tented camp is nestled in amongst the acacia bushveld below the
Lubombo mountain range. With sweeping views across Jozini Dam and incomparable
sunsets, it consists of four twin bedded sleeping tents, a kitchen thatched lapa
with canvas drop down blinds on a viewing deck and an ablution block.
All linen, towels and initial supply of wood for the boma are provided with a
housekeeper cleaning daily.
The ablution block is thatched and consists of 2 separate bathrooms with toilet,
shower and basin in each. Each bathroom has its own gas geyser for the supply of
hot water. The kitchen lapa is stocked with a gas freezer, gas cooker and all
cooking and dining utensils. There is also gas and solar lighting.
Being located close to marina and launching facilities, this eco-friendly camp
is ideally situated for those wanting quick fishing access. The newly
constructed concrete slipways allow easy launching for most sized boats with
travel time to the Phongola River Mouth situated only 2km away being quick and
easy on the fuel budget.
Currently the most affordable accommodation inside the Royal Jozini Big 6 Game
Reserve - with it\'s rustic charm, Browns tented camp is perfect for a fishing
weekend away with the boys or some quiet family time.
Activities include game viewing, bird watching (over 400 recorded species in
this area), mountain biking, trail running, hiking and fishing.
