About Zinkwazi - A subtropical lagoon and beach paradise of the Fish Eagle.

85km north of Durban lays Zinkwazi lagoon and beach conservancy, only 5 to 6 hours from Gauteng, 60km's away from Zinkwazi is the new King Shaka International Airport.

Zinkwazi is one of the rare, beautiful, unspoilt beaches still left in Southern Africa with a 7km stretch of lagoon situated amongst the lush palm trees of the Zinkwazi conservancy. The endless beaches provide for fishing, swimming, surfing, diving or just walking and for bird watching enthusiasts there are 180 different species of bird life in the area. Zinkwazi is also close to Zululand's wealth of splendid game reserves - two being the Umfolozi and the Prince's Grant. For the historians there are several historical sights - The Ultimatum Tree and Fort Pearson and for the more adventurous quad-biking is also in the vicinity (40kms away).

Black Rock Beach Cottage is a double storey house with a separate little flat in the garden and is situated right on the beach front. The Top section sleeps 10, the Bottom section sleeps 6 and the little Flatlet sleeps 4. These units can be taken separately (all totally private) or as one unit (can sleep up to 20 and is ideal for conferences). We have been up and running for 21 years and we are a typical beach cottage. Our bathrooms and kitchens are a bit outdated but they are working and fully functional.

Top Section: 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, TV lounge and our own DSTV decoder with our own smart card, dining room and a lovely bar area that leads onto a sundeck with a built-in-braai and a lovely view of the ocean.

Bottom Section: 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom with extra toilet & basin, fully equipped kitchen with a breakfast nook, TV lounge with TV and our own DSTV decoder with our own smart card, and its own braai area.

Flatlet: 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, lounge/kitchen is open plan and has TV and our own DSTV decoder with our own smart card. This unit is air conditioned and it also has its own braai area. Although this unit is right on the beach front, it does not have the sea view that the other two units have.

All units have ceiling fans and all linen is included except towels.

The property is fully fenced with an alarm system, security gates on all doors and burglar bars on all windows in all 3 units.

Units are not serviced.
