Ardmore Guest Farm

Ardmore Guest Farm is situated in the Champagne valley of the central Drakensberg, just below the majestic Champagne Castle and Cathkin Peak Mountains of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.
 
Ardmore has 16 beautiful units to choose from and we cater for groups of all sizes. We have 1, 2 or 3 bedroom units either in our renovated garden facing studios or our lovely cottages that face South Africa's highest peaks. All of our units have en-suite bathrooms with Jacuzzi spa baths, tea/coffee making facilities, and wood-burning fireplaces with a complimentary bundle of wood provided.
 
You can choose to book your accommodation on either a bed and breakfast basis, or to include a 4 course lantern lit dinner. Of course, every morning is kicked off with a sumptuous breakfast to set you up for a day of exploring.
 
The guesthouse has a guest lounge with log fire place and stunning views of the mountains, a lovely dining room, TV. room and a cozy pub.
 
Ardmore has a Mountain View swimming pool, a large dam for fishing (bass) & bird watching; or explore our surrounding hills on foot or on our mountain bikes. (Bikes and fishing rods are available to guests at no extra charge). If you are interested in art there is the craft centre on the farm, or explore the arts and craft centres along the Drakensberg Drive.
 
There are many activities in the valley, golf is popular and the valley boasts 2 golf courses – one 18 hole championship course and the other a 9 hole course. Also available is tennis, trout and bass fishing and for the more daring - white water rafting. Horse riders are spoilt for choice with 5 places to ride, one of them is in Spioenkop Game Park (only 1/2 hour drive from the farm) where you ride amongst the giraffe, zebra, wildebeest and rhino or alternatively just take a leisurely drive through the game park
 
Local places of interest include Anglo/Boer war battle field sites such as Spioenkop Battlefield and Winston Churchill's capture and ambush site, bushman paintings, Drakensberg Boy's Choir, a weaving workshop and a falconry display centre, all just a short drive from Ardmore.
